MacSweeney & Company Family Law Practice Wins Prestigious Award

The Family Law Practice within MacSweeney & Company was recently selected as Connacht/ Ulster & Munster Family Law Firm of the Year at the prestigious Irish Law Awards 2019.

This is a significant achievement, and recognises the significant growth of the Family Law Practice over the past number of years.

MacSweeney & Company’s Family Law Practice is led by the renowned family law solicitor Ailbhe Burke.

Ailbhe has given lectures and talks on family law and the impact on children, and in recognition of her experience in family law, is a member of the Family Law Committee of the Law Society of Ireland.

She regularly speaks on various family law topics, most recently on the Children & Family Relationships Act 2015 at the Law Society Connacht symposium.

She has tutored on family law in both the Law Society of Ireland and at NUIG.

She served as Vice Chairperson on the Employment Appeals Tribunal from 2001 to 2004 and qualified as an Accredited Mediator in 2009. She has further trained as a collaborative lawyer, which often proves hugely valuable in family law matters.
