Ailbhe Burke | Associate Solicitor
Ailbhe qualified as a solicitor in 1998 and holds honours BA and LLB degrees from NUIG.
She holds a higher diploma in Employment Law from UCD and has trained as both a mediator and a collaborative lawyer.
Ailbhe did her apprenticeship in a prominent Galway firm, before gaining invaluable experience in Dublin.
On her return to Galway in 2004, she worked in the Legal Aid Board before joining a specialist family law firm, where she worked for over 10 years until joining MacSweeney & Company.
She has extensive experience in family law and frequently speaks at conferences and seminars. She sits on the Law Society’s Family & Child Law Committee.
Ailbhe is a former Vice Chairperson of the Employment Appeals Tribunal and has tutored in Employment Law in the Law Society of Ireland and at NUIG.
She has served as both President and Secretary of the Galway Solicitors Bar Association and as a director of the Galway Simon Community.
