Paddy O'Connell | Partner

Paddy joined MacSweeney & Company in 2021 as a partner.

He works in the firm’s banking and commercial property departments.

Paddy holds a Bachelor of Civil Law from UCC and a postgraduate Diploma in Business Studies from the Smurfit School of Business, UCD.

Upon qualification in 2004, Paddy worked with Noel Smyth & Partners in Dublin before relocating to the West of Ireland. Paddy then worked for 14 years with an established Galway based firm.

Paddy has particular experience in the areas of banking, secured lending and represents the interests of several banks and other lenders. In particular, he has represented the interests of one of the pillar banks for upwards of 14 years.

Paddy further specialises in the areas of commercial conveyancing, landlord & tenant and company law.
