Shane MacSweeney Wins Connacht/Ulster Solicitor of the Year 2018

The Founder and Managing Partner of MacSweeney & Company was recently selected as Connacht / Ulster Solicitor of the Year, at the Irish Law Awards 2018.

Shane MacSweeney founded MacSweeney & Company in August 2003. MacSweeney & Company is a full service commercial law firm dedicated to the efficient provision of quality legal services.

MacSweeney & Company has grown significantly in the 15 years since that date, and now occupies a leading position in the legal community in the West of Ireland. The firm currently has 19 staff, comprising 9 solicitors, other fee earners and support staff. MacSweeney & Company has hired 3 additional solicitors in the past year alone.

The firm has occupied 3 different offices in that 15 year period and, due to its expansion, it moved to larger and prominent 6,000 square foot office on Eyre Square, Galway in 2017. The firm has grown from modest beginnings, having been established on a shoestring less than 15 years ago.

Led by Shane, MacSweeney & Company is an active member of the local business community and Shane is an elected as a member of the Council of Galway Chamber of Commerce. In that role, Shane contributes to the advancement of business in Galway.
