MacSweeney & Company Partner Philip Ryan recently took part in the COPE Galway Business Leader’s Sleepout to raise much-needed funds for Galway charity COPE.
In addition to helping individuals in need of emergency accommodation and shelter, COPE helps families, single men and women living in unsuitable, insecure and temporary accommodation all over Galway.
COPE runs a number of refuges for women and children fleeing domestic violence and abusive homes.
Due to the tremendous generosity of clients, contacts and the staff at MacSweeney & Company, a total amount of €14,500 was raised by MacSweeney & Company for the event.
Almost 30 local business leaders took part in the event, which took place on Friday 1st December 2017. To date, the total amount raised by COPE so far is €154,844, which is an increase on the figure raised in 2016.
MacSweeney & Company has always been committed to supporting local charities, and has over the years supported many charities and voluntary organisations through donations and “pro bono” legal services.
